Program Description

Aims to reduce the age of onset of alcohol use among Bulloch County youth through Alcohol Compliance Checks and TiPS training for local businesses, and the ALL STARS program, which reduces access to alcohol and youth binge drinking.

Alcohol Compliance Checks

Local law enforcement conduct random checks to determine if local retailers are willing to sell alcohol to an underage person. Multiple violations can lead to the suspension of or loss of the retailer’s alcohol license.

Alcohol Seller/Server Training

Bulloch Alcohol and Drug Council offers TiPS, a responsible alcohol sales training for both on-premise (restaurants, bars, etc.) and off-premise (grocery stores, convenience stores, etc.) sales.

All Stars Description

All Stars is currently being delivered with some youth participating in the Statesboro-Bulloch County Recreation Department After-School programs.

ALL STARS prevents alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, reduces bullying and fighting, and postpones sexual activity.

Ask, Advise, Refer

Ask, Advise, Refer is our tobacco intervention program. At every opportunity, we ask an individual if they or a family member is a tobacco user. Tobacco can be used in multiple ways, either by smoking, snuffing, dipping, or vaping. If identified, we advise every user to quit.
